KASNEB is a professional examinations body which operates under the Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008, the Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap 534 of 1988 and the Investment and Financial Analysts Act, No.13 of 2015.
The mandate of KASNEB is to develop syllabuses, conduct professional, diploma and technician examinations; certify candidates in accountancy, finance, credit, governance and management, information communication technology and related disciplines; promote its qualifications globally and accredit relevant training institutions.

In keeping with current strategic needs, KASNEB seeks to recruit suitable candidates for the following positions:
Administrative Assistant II, Staff Welfare (Cooperative Office) 
Job Level 8
1 Position
Ref: HCA/SWCO/2/2017
Overall Purpose: The Administrative Assistant II, Staff Welfare (Cooperative Office) will be responsible for managing the KASNEB Cooperative Savings and Credit Society.
Key duties and responsibilities:
(i) Evaluating loan applications and documentation by confirming credit worthiness.
(ii) Ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
(iii) Preparing monthly payroll deductions.
(iv) Preparing budgets and cash flow projections.
(v) Ensuring property management of the co-operative office.
(vi) Preparing monthly financial accounts and reports for management decisions.
(vii) Preparation of payments to members and other Creditors.
(viii) Preparing members quarterly accounts statements.
(ix) Processing loan applications for disbursement.
(x) Processing all payments on insurance and affiliation fees.
(xi) Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
(xii) Preparing and maintaining member’s personal accounts.
(xiii) Updating cash disbursement and receipt journals.
(xiv) Updating monthly guarantee schedules.
(xv) Reconciling all check-offs and other remittances with ledgers and member accounts.
(xvi) Undertaking bank reconciliations.
(xvii) Assist the Board of Directors of the Sacco to implement checks and controls.
(xviii) Ensuring tax and statutory deductions administration.
(xix) Ensuring that all transactions involving the Sacco expenditure are properly authorised.
(xx) Liaising and answering queries raised by auditors.
(xxi) Ensuring risk management within the area of operation.
(xxii) Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System.
(xxiii) Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Academic / Professional Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
(i) Diploma in Cooperative Management, Business Administration, Management or related discipline from a recognised institution.
(ii) At least CPA Part II.
(iii) Proficiency in accounting packages.
(iv) At least one (1) year experience in Sacco management.

(vii) Be computer literate.
(viii) Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
