Manufacturing Plant Process Chemical Engineer Vacancy in Athi River, Kenya

Our client, a dynamic Manufacturing Plant, based in Athi River is looking to recruit a Process Chemical Engineer to lead quality assurances process.
The successful candidate Must demonstrate ability to lead a team, working in a high pressure dynamic environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities;
  • Leading the plant quality assurance processes.
  • Set up systems and structures.
  • Ensuring compliance of product attributes to technical specifications and requirements.
  • Interfacing with sales and customers to resolve any product quality issues.
  • Implementing product quality improvements, by completing root cause analysis and driving scientific and engineering principles in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility.
  • Using data to analyse and investigate quality issues as well as making at- the-line decisions.
  • Determining and following through on immediate corrective measures where possible.
  • Continually expanding product and supplier relationships in an effort to gain sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Leading group of plant associates to drive quality deeper into the organization.
  • Implementing new quality systems to enhance the overall performance of plant quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent experience being a team leader.
  • Well-developed computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis programs.
  • Excellent communication and personal relation skills to aid interactions with customers and company contacts.
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • A natural leader who thrives and enjoys new challenge.
  • Must be willing to work in Athi – River.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 – 130,000/= (Approx. 1,000 – 1,300 USD) depending on skills and experience
