Sales and Marketing Manager
Our client, a highly specialized Africa-wide Agri-Market Development Agency and a leading strategic direct implementing partner in Africa with a focus on; profitable smallholder commercialization, value chain analysis, market access, trade development and private sector alliances for sustainable rural economic growth is seeking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop plan and sales strategy to ensure meeting sales goals and profitability.
Accomplishing marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs
Create and conduct proposal presentations to customer’s queries.
Assist sales personnel in preparation of proposals and closing sales.
Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
Prepare action plans by individuals and the team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
Maintain, improve, protect and increase sales growth on existing different channels.
Identifying and evaluating new and future business opportunities for Kenya market.
Conduct Field work with Field Managers
Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
Conceptualize & drive short, medium and long term marketing plan and business strategies.
Conceptualize and execute new product launches and drive performance to build up growth momentum in all markets.
Conduct regular business review meetings with field team on a regular basis as per schedule as well as charting plans for supporting/taking actions on bottom performers as well as their half yearly and yearly reviews.
Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field;
5 Years proven experience in sales and Marketing, with 2 years’ experience in a managerial role
Experience in the sale of Agricultural inputs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
