An upcoming restaurant at Two Rivers Mall Nairobi is looking for young, gifted and passionate individuals to fill the following positions:
Indian Cuisine Chef
Being a key part of the team who provides quality meals to our customers, the Indian Cuisine Chef is required to know a lot about Indian cuisines.
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Indian dishes
  • Ensuring food preparation is done to the highest standards
  • Enforce food policies
  • Coming up with latest Indian menus
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Food & Beverages Production from a reputable college or university.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in Indian dish preparation.
  • Must be a team player and self-driven.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of relevant food and health & safety regulations.
  • Those who have backgrounds in Indian cuisines are encouraged to apply.
Swahili Cuisine Chef

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Swahili dishes.

  • Enforce food policies.

Waiter / Waitress
Roles and responsibilities:
  • To ensure that all areas of the restaurant are always presented at their best for guests and in line with Health and Safety policy.
    Ensuring utmost cleanliness of the cutlery and crockery – ready for use at the table.
    Ensuring that the tables are clean and presentable.
    Ensuring that there are sufficient ménages (salt, pepper and other spices) as required on the table.
    Ensuring adequate stocks of beverages and other items required for offering service.
    Welcoming guests and taking the orders in restaurant.
    Maintaining utmost courtesy when receiving the customers, sitting them and helping them make their orders.
    Encourage and collect customer feedback so as to improve our service.
    Ensure that the table is cleared promptly after use by customer at every stage during the meal courses.
Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or similar from a reputable college or university
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a fine dining establishment
  • Right work attitude
  • Flexible
  • Strong social skills
  • Should be a team player and willing to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
Cashier
The main responsibility of the cashier is to complete the sales transactions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
He/she will also perform functions, which include:
  • Receive, record and process customer orders
  • Receiving and processing payments from customers
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
  • Maintaining a very high degree of honesty and accountability
  • Compile and maintain the cash reconciliation book
  • Maintaining knowledge of the food products available
  • Performing other responsibilities as directed by the management
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting from a reputable college or university
  • KASNEB qualification will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 1 years’ previous hotel-related experience
  • Experience in operating hotel front office software
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • Ability to converse comfortably with customers
Restaurant Cleaner
He/she not only has to ensure that the restaurant is clean all the time, but also has to have basic knowledge of food, handling of cleaning agents and so on.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the restaurant cleaner will involve:
Keeping the restaurant & restaurant equipment clean, removing the trash that accumulates at the end of each day, and ensuring that things are kept in their proper order for the next working day.
Requirements:
  • The restaurant cleaner must have an idea about handling restaurant equipment and have knowledge about cleaning agents, how certain kinds of stains and greases can be removed and so on.
  • Food handling skills.
  • Minimum secondary school certificate is needed for the job.
  • Ability to converse comfortably with customers.
  • Ability to follow instructions, abide by set rules and regulations.
