Facilities and Property Management Officer

We manage facilities of our clients’ projects and property to enable maximum output during their utilization by executing meticulous maintenance and repairs and periodic inspections among other services.
We care monitor and create accountability to achieve useful life and condition of facilities.
Job Summary: To manage its rapid growth in this area, Mwanzoni is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, hardworking, and self-driven team player to join the team in the Facilities and Property Management Department.
Skills Required
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills -ability to adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated creativity & innovation in business
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage workload, work effectively under pressure in demanding environment.
  • Good people management skills including the ability to upwardly manage Clients
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, with skills in Microsoft excel
  • Establishing rental rates by surveying local rental rates; calculating overhead costs, depreciation, taxes, and profit goals
  • Drawing up contracts with tenants by negotiating leases and collecting security deposits
  • Helping in rent collection, paying bills, forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, initiating corrective actions etc.
  • Maintaining our properties by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units and completing repairs, Planning renovations
  • Maintaining building systems by helping in contracting for maintenance services, supervising repairs
  • Enforcing occupancy policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Supervising maintenance, grounds and custodial workers
  • Uploading property data into the Mwanzoni Facilities Management System
  • Minimum Diploma in real estate or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management and/or property Management.
  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant
  • Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
