Finance and Administration Manager
Location: Nairobi
Industry: Telecommunication
Our client, a leading European group in the high added-value communicating terminals market (set top boxes, internet boxes, electricity meters, etc.) is seeking to recruit a Finance and Administration Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
A) Keeping the general and analytical accounting
  • Entering the different accounting documents, including the analytical allocation
  • Number, classify and archive the accounting documents.
  • Establish on the monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile the accounts and the tax returns.
  • Reconcile the group accounts.
  • Letter and justify the balance sheet following the periodicity fixed by the group’s procedures.
  • Monthly close the accounts.
  • Establish the annual financial statements with the external auditor.
  • Revise the accounts of the other establishments of those in partnership with the local chartered accountants.
  • The revision concerns both the accounting and the analytical part.
  • Inventory of the cash statements
B) Fill the fiscal obligations
  • Prepare tax return
  • Make sure the tax returns are submitted in due course.
C) Fill the social obligations
  • Human Resource Management
  • Establish payrolls , prepare social returns and pay slip
  • Make sure the tax returns are deposited in due course.
D) Financial and cost control
  • Assist the country manager in the business leading:
  • Take part in the business budgets,
  • Analyze the differences between the budget and the reality.
  • Prepare the management reporting / monthly consolidation as asked by the group’s procedures.
  • Draft the invoices and advances of payment, check supplier’s invoices.
  • Keep track of claims and debts whether they are from supplier or customer
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field
  • CPA or equivalent is required,
  • Knowledge of the SAGE compta accounting software would be an added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will be adaptable, accurate and must be willing to learn and eager to expand knowledge and experience.
  • Travels may be required within the region and other countries.
