HR & Admin Officer
Location: Nairobi
Salary: 80-100K
Our client is a leading Real Estate company with expertise in property development and management. They seek to hire an all rounded HR & Administration Officer to plan, organize and manage the Human Resources and Administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains a human resource system that meets top management information needs.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life and health insurance, pension plans, vacation, annual leave, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • In charge of training and development of all staff, new and current as well as outgoing to ensure smooth transition
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and process employee requests for external training while complying with set policies and procedures
  • Monitor scheduled absences such as leave or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of Services.
  • Responds to enquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers performance review program through appraisals to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.
  • Administers salary administration program and benefits schemes to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Prepares budget of human resource operations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Maintenance of office premises and ensuring renewal of necessary licenses.
  • Supervises clerical assistant and temporary staffing as needed.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration and/or a Higher diploma in Human Resource Management
  • At Least 2-3 years experience as a HR & admin Officer
  • Experience in Project Management is desired
  • Must have excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spread sheets and word processing
  • programs at a highly efficient level.
  • Effective spoken and written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals ,policies and procedures
  • Good interpersonal skills, and analytical skills
    Above 28 years old
