HR Officer
Job Summary
A company in Nairobi is looking for a HR Officer to manage a HR department in a small but busy technology company. He/she will be responsible for handling the full HR function including coordinating the recruitment process, onboarding, managing training and performance management.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coming up with a HR strategy
  • Manage the recruitment process from need identification to onboarding of candidates
  • Manage the full HR administration process
  • Preparing HR Procedures and staff handbook
  • Ensuring all staff have employment contracts and renewals, if any, are done on time
  • Leave management
  • Carrying out a training needs analysis
  • Facilitating some training sessions
  • Coordinating training
  • Responsible for performance management
  • Employee welfare management
  • Reward system management
  • Managing the exit process
  • Advising department heads on HR matters
Abilities, Skills And Qualifications
  • Excellent understanding of the HR function (generalist)
  • Must have a strong grasp of the Kenya Labour Laws
  • At least 5 years’ experience in HR
  • Must understand strategic business dynamics
  • Must be a creative problem solver, finding solutions to work related challenges
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong project management, time management and leadership skills
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills
  • Able to establish and forge healthy working relationships in teams
  • Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Should have excellent communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
Salary is Kes Eighty Five Thousand (Kes 85,000.00)
