Print Industry Production Manager

Our client is a well-established organization in the print world organization and seeks to engage with a professional high drive, dynamic and self-respecting talent in the position of:-
Production Manager
Main Purpose of the Job: Leading in the design and implementation of the production strategies, policies and procedures to ensure delivery of business objectives
Main Responsibilities
  • Management, coordination and supervision of the functions and activities of the print and production sections.
  • Partner with management in conceptualizing the overall short and long term company’s strategy & develops supportive strategies for the section’s engineering and maintenance functions.
  • Coordinates and organizes the specific production workshops activities with a view to achieving sound maintenance and high productivity.
  • Ensures sound maintenance and repairs of the production facilities, equipment’s and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensures department’s targets are set and achieved within set time frame.
  • Ensures the review and implementation of maintenance and repairs policies and procedures and advices management on areas of improvement in relation to maintenance operations.
  • Ensures that repairs and maintenance are within established specifications and standards.
  • Assist in procuring and commissioning of new stock, equipment and any other production equipment.
  • Ensures that employees in the division observe and comply with safety measures regulations.
  • Develops and ensures the implementation of departmental budgets and monitors the expenditures to achieve set targets.
  • Develop, implement and monitor a robust Energy conservation program.
  • Plays a major role in the training, development and growth of workshops and depots staff through communication skills and delegation assuring tasks or projects are completed as desired and on time and to achieve highest levels of performance and culture
  • Managing and implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business results and culture
  • Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management
  • Consolidation, preparation, presenting of detailed departmental reports including recommendations and actions
Job Skills & Personal Competencies: Professionalism, Team Player, Leadership, Innovative, Change Champion, Interpersonal skills, Analytical skills, Organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or Higher Diploma in a related field
  • At least 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience working in print industry will be an added advantage
