Sales Activation Manager
Duma works is recruiting a Sales Activation Manager for our client; a manufacturing social enterprise based in the outskirts of Nairobi.
The hiring company designs, locally manufactures, and distributes aspirational high quality fuel-efficient cooking products that save lives and forests in Kenya. We are seeking an experienced manager to oversee our product activations On The Ground (OTG) and in supermarkets.
The manager will be responsible for managing a team of (20-30) sales activators, scheduling events, and analysing activation data and activator performance.
Roles and responsibilities
Staff Management: Ensure 20-30 sales activators arrive at work in a timely manner, are well presented, and ready for work. Manage sales activators commissions, work schedule, reporting.
Hire/Fire: Hire and fire sales activators as needed. Discipline and reward activators as needed.
Training & Coaching: Train activators so they have a thorough understanding of the company products he/she sells and are highly motivated for activations.
Scheduling: Determine activation schedule and by locations, day, times. Manage activator schedules.
Event Planning: Ensure that all required permits, food, cooking equipment, marketing material, etc. are planned for and ready for the sales activation
Reporting: Record issues and lessons learned via Word & Excel, and communicate these to VP of Sales & Marketing.
Measurement & Analysis: Measure and analyse ROI of activations, sales volumes, and additional metrics for success. Measure and analyse individual activator performance.
Professional Development: Attend trainings and meetings in the office as requested
College Degree or above
At least two years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with ON GROUND activation and/or sales.
Previous experience managing a staff of 20-30 individuals
Prior experience in maintaining a weekly, monthly, and quarterly event schedule.
Previous experience recruiting, hiring, disciplining, and firing staff.
