Spa Receptionist, Professional Hair Stylist / Barber and Beauty Therapist Urgent Jobs in Kenya

We are a high end Beauty and Spa establishment seeking to recruit vibrant and professionals to join our dynamic team.
Spa Receptionist
Job Description: A receptionist is the first person visitors encounter at most types whether in person by phone or email so it’s important that the applicant to this role is someone who is professional and personable.
As a Spa Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting clients to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
A Spa Receptionist would also be required to manage customer feedback and be an effective sales person.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Assist guests and clients in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure issues or compliments are escalated to enable long-term improvements in products and services.
  • Ensure client experience is proficient including bookings, payments, and consultation cards.
  • Adhere to cash handling procedures in different currencies e.g. USD, EURO, POUNDS among others
  • Interact and communicate effectively with clients, members, team members, guests, and management team.
  • Link-sell with latest departmental incentives
  • She will have the responsibility to maintain the track record of incoming & outgoing calls or walk in customers properly.
  • Report accidents, maintenance issues, or other incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Skills and Specifications
The required skills and specifications are as follows:
  • The person should have required knowledge about the computer, internet and interfacing devices uses and aware about all the work.
  • She should have the ability to prepare records in black & white.
  • She needs to have the ability to maintain record shelves properly.
  • She should be able to communicate effectively (over phone & e-mails) with impressive communicational skills and excellent customer service ethics.
  • She should have good organizational skills to manage entire work properly.
  • It will be needed in her to have a good and pleasing personality, honesty/respect is the key
  • As a Spa receptionist, he/she should be ready to work for long hours when needed and be able to work in a 24 hour shift.
Education and Qualifications
  • At least a College diploma with some experience in reception duties or customer service.
  • It will be an added advantage to the person having some past working experience in the hospitality industry and with French as a foreign language.
Professional Hair Stylist / Barber
As a Professional Hair Stylist/Barber, you will be tasked with but not limited to:
  • Performing hair style consultation in order to decide what services the client needs
  • Provides services to clients such as Head massages, shampooing, cutting, styling, coloring and highlighting as desired
  • Maintains safety standards and cleanliness
  • Emphasizes product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products or services for their hair care needs
  • Maintains a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure return clients
  • Proactively develop new customers
Hair Stylist Job Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of hair styles, hair care products and related procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Physical mobility, able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Excellent communicator and presentable
  • Cosmetics retail experience and/product specialist/sales experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and committed to providing superior service
  • Energetic and dependable, motivated and results driven
  • Work with less or no supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use Thermal blanket and G-5 machines
  • Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule based on business needs which include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Make up Artistry experience in a retail environment and able to do Caucasian hair, Caucasian  Haircuts,  Hair Styling, blow dry brush among others
  • Preferred experience of 1 year and above holds valid work permit for international applicants issued by the state of residency.
  • Willing and ready to spend 100% of his/her working time at the place of work
Beauty Therapist
As a Beauty Therapist, you will be tasked with but not limited to:
  • Conducting skin analysis and advising clients on skin and body care.
  • Performing facial cleansing, body massage, scrubs/wraps, Gel polish, acrylics, eyelashes, mani/pedicure and treatments, including spa therapy, reflexology, and aromatherapy, Lymphatic drainage, Shiatsu among others.
  • Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation and how to improve their posture
  • Prepare and blend oils and apply the blends to clients’ skin
  • Removing facial or body hair through waxing or electrolysis.
  • Lash and brow treatments.
  • Applying make-up and advising clients on make-up application techniques.
  • Selling and providing advice on cosmetic and skin care products.
Beauty Therapist’s Job Requirements:
  • Must have a certification in Beauty therapy or equivalent and experience of at least 1 year and above, holds valid work permit for international applicants issued by the state of residency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Must be self- motivated and professional
  • Excellent communicator, presentable and sound knowledge on products in a spa
  • Cosmetics retail experience and/product specialist/sales experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and committed to providing superior service
  • Energetic and dependable, motivated and results driven
  • Must have a talent in applying nail art
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule based on business needs which include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Conducting skin analysis and advising clients on skin and body care.
  • Performing facial or body massage and treatments, including spa therapy, reflexology, Thai and aromatherapy.
  • Removing facial or body hair through waxing or electrolysis.
  • Applying make-up and advising clients on make-up application techniques.
  • Making appointments, maintaining client records and handling financial transactions.
  • Selling and providing advice on cosmetic and skin care products.
General Requirements:
  • Preferable applicants need to be aged between 25 – 35 years.
  • Of Thailand, Chinese, Philipino, Russian, Indian, African, Arab, Ethiopian race.
  • With passed international experience handling international clients
  • Work well under no supervision
